If you want to draw on top of the panel material, you need to create a layer on top of it. In other words, you cannot use brush tool or shape tool in the same layer of the panel material. If two layers merge, they will follow the order below. The panel material is independent of pixel data in the layer. Clicking 'Snap Setting' will reset the adjustment. You can move, rotate, and flip the guideline. For example, you should make the color bleed through to the canvas edge, not just the outer border. It adjust the guideline voluntarily and enables to draw a line along the guideline. To avoid this situation, your drawing should bleed over the border. However, you cannot transform it through text layer. If it is an image (a normal layer), you are freely to transform it.
